A free improv comedy show featuring Peanut Pony and Hot Coolidge at the Dallas Comedy Club, suitable for over-18s only.
Peanut Pony and Hot Coolidge are taking the stage at the Dallas Comedy Club on Thursday, October 8, for a free improv show. It's a double bill, with both acts performing on the same night, and since it's improv, nothing is scripted—everything you see is made up on the spot.
Peanut Pony is described as an almost unaccountably funny show, built entirely in the moment and serving up laughs and 'huh's in equal measure. That 'huh' part is where the charm usually lies—the moments where the scene takes a turn you didn't see coming and you're just as surprised as everyone else in the room. It's the kind of comedy that works because it's happening right in front of you, with no safety net.
Hot Coolidge brings a different energy to the bill. Their act is fast-paced and built around suggestions from the audience, so the direction of the night depends on what the crowd throws their way. If you're the one shouting out a weird location or a strange relationship, you're essentially co-writing the show. Between the two, you get a full evening of comedy that changes every time it's performed.
