Concert by Francis of Delirium with support from Smothered at Dada Dallas.
Francis of Delirium plays Dada Dallas on Friday, November 6, with Smothered opening the night. The headliner is the project of Jana Bahrich, a Luxembourg-based artist who writes, produces, and directs much of her own work. She's been putting out music since right after high school, starting with the 2020 single "Quit Fucking Around," followed by three EPs—All Change (2020), Wading (2021), and The Funhouse (2022)—and her debut album, Lighthouse, in 2024. The set will draw from that catalog, and from the new album, Run, Run Pure Beauty, which she produced with Chris Hewett and had mixed by Nicolas Vernhes.
Live, the project takes the shape of a trio: Bahrich on guitar and vocals, Jeff Hennico on bass, and Denis Schumacher on drums. They've toured Europe and North America, playing with Blondshell, Bôa, Horsegirl, Briston Maroney, and Soccer Mommy, and have supported The 1975, Alanis Morissette, and Wolf Alice. That touring history puts them in the same orbit as some of the indie and alternative acts that have been making their way through the city lately.
