Dallas Comedy Club Presents: Karen Morgan

Karen Morgan is playing the Dallas Comedy Club on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, with both shows starting at 5 PM. If you're not familiar with her, the background is a good place to start: she's a former trial attorney who traded the courtroom for the stage, and she's been doing clean stand-up nationwide for nearly two decades. She got her start as a finalist on Nickelodeon's Search for the Funniest Mom in America, so the whole thing grew out of her life as a parent.

Since then, she's built a real body of work. She has two Dry Bar Comedy specials, Go Dawgs and Rub Some Dirt On It—the latter made a Top 10 list of 2023. There's also a comedy album, Shiny Happy People Laughing, which she recorded in her hometown of Athens, Georgia, and that's been carried on Sirius XM Radio. Between the specials and the album, there's plenty to catch up on before she hits the stage here.

Her TV credits run a bit wider than just comedy. She's appeared on CBS's The Talk and Gotham Comedy Live, and she's done commercials for Walmart and Zyrtec. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, HuffPost, and The Insider. These days she lives in Cumberland, Maine, so this is a trip down to Texas.
