Fifth annual Halloween party at Boogies with dancing, DJs, a costume contest, themed drinks and pop-ups from spook-themed vendors.
Chills and Thrills: Boogies & Boos takes over Boogies on Friday, October 30, from 8 PM to 1 AM. It's the fifth annual Halloween party thrown by 101Media Events, and it's built around the things that make a good costume party: dancing, DJs, a costume contest with prizes, a specialty themed drink menu, and pop-ups from the organizer's spookiest vendors. The venue is Boogies, at 1806 McMillan Ave in Dallas, which they describe as the city's newest nightlife gem, inspired by the Studio 54 era and known for its drinks, sound, and inviting crowd.
There's a fair amount to do throughout the night. Tattoos run from 8 PM to midnight, and tarot readings are available from 9 PM to 11 PM. The costume contest happens at 11 PM, so if you're coming for the prizes, that's the time to be on the floor. Check-in is from 8 PM to 10 PM, and you'll need a wristband to get in; a friend can check in on your behalf if you're running late.
If you want to start early, there's a VIP pre-party from 8 PM to 10 PM. It adds La Marca drinks, a free Burger Schmurger, and first access to the pop-ups, including complimentary tarot readings. It also guarantees entry before 10 PM and priority entry later in the night. Street parking is available, but they recommend ride-sharing.
