Baltra plays Shyboy Hi-Fi on Friday, October 9, his first time in the booth there. He's joined by Dallas regulars Gina Gee and Stephen Carmona, and the night is split into two distinct parts. The first is a guided listening session in the club's Blue Room, with doors at 5:30 PM and the session running from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The second is a Main Room DJ set that kicks off at 8:00 PM.
Baltra is a New York producer and DJ, and he's bringing his signature blend of house, breaks and hazy late-night electronics to the night. The listening session in the Blue Room is the quieter, more focused half of the evening, while the Main Room set is where the dancing comes in. Between the two, the night runs from 5:30 PM through to 2:00 AM, so you can come for just one part or stay for both.
Gina Gee and Stephen Carmona are well-known names in the local scene, and they'll be sharing the bill with Baltra. The whole thing is presented by Shyboy Hi-Fi, located at 1313 Main Street in Dallas. It's an over-21s event, so keep your ID handy.
