An adults-only sensual cabaret show that fuses contemporary circus, pole sport and aerial art, produced by world champion pole athlete Pink Puma.
Pink Puma opens AfterDark at Sons of Hermann Hall on Thursday, October 8, at 8 PM. It's an adults-only sensual cabaret that runs through November 8, so you've got a full month to catch it if the opening night doesn't work for you. The show runs about 75 to 90 minutes.
Pink Puma is the stage name of Marie-Angèle Zoungrana, a world champion pole athlete. She's not on her own for this one, either—she's joined by a cast of internationally acclaimed athletes. The production pulls together contemporary circus, cabaret, pole sport, and aerial art, blending the athletic side of aerial pole with the sensuality of burlesque. It's set to a seductive musical score and follows a story told through breathtaking stunts, drawing on elements of contemporary circus and Broadway. The whole thing is billed as daring, dazzling, and a little bit naughty.
There's a bit of history to how this version came together. Zoungrana first debuted a family-friendly show called Vertical.Show before cranking up the heat with AfterDark, the 18+ experience. That's why it's adults-only—this is the version where she lets the sensuality take center stage.
