Dallas Theater Center presents A Christmas Carol, a magical Christmas Eve adventure with Ebenezer Scrooge, directed by Alex Organ.
Dallas Theater Center brings A Christmas Carol to the Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre this winter, with the full run from November 27 through December 27. It's a production of the Charles Dickens classic that leans into the ghost story side of things—the one that starts with a visit from the ghost of former business partner Jacob Marley and continues with three otherworldly spirits who take Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey through Christmases past, present, and yet to come. The whole thing is billed as a ghost story full of joyful songs, magical spirits, and holiday cheer, with a focus on dazzling visuals and enchanting melodies to tell a story about the transformative power of the holiday spirit.
Behind the scenes, the production is directed by Alex Organ, with Kevin Moriarty adapting the script from Dickens' novel. Gary Adler handles musical direction and Joel Ferrell takes care of the choreography. Kieran Connolly plays Scrooge, and the cast also includes Lucas Bierrenbach as Boy Scrooge/Turkey Boy, Chloe Cromley as Belinda Cratchit, and Sabrina Daly as Martha Cratchit.

If you're planning your trip, there are a few things to keep in mind. The show runs 90 minutes with no intermission, so you'll be in your seat the whole time. It's not recommended for children under 5, but the company does stage 'Stay Late' conversations with the cast after each performance, which is a nice touch if you want to stick around and hear more from the people on stage. The run kicks off with preview performances from November 25 to 27 and November 29 to 30, including a Pay What You Can preview and opening night, before the full schedule takes over through December 27. You can find the Wyly Theatre at 2400 Flora St in Dallas.
