Sketch comedy and rock show from Shadowbox Live with sharp sketches and rock performances.
Shadowbox Live is running Screamers in Columbus from October 3 through November 15, a production that blends sketch comedy and live music. It's built around two things: sharp sketches and rock performances, with the music running alongside the comedy rather than just filling the gaps between scenes.
The whole thing is framed as a nightmare-fueled experience, and that's where the tone comes from. The sketches lean into that darker, surreal territory, and the rock performances bring the energy up. It's a variety show in the sense that it moves between different kinds of material, but the nightmare theme ties the sketches and the music together into one night.
