Beginner-friendly small-group jewelry workshop to make a pair of earrings with wire, gemstones and freshwater pearls.
Irasema is hosting a jewelry-making workshop at North Market Bridge Park on Wednesday, November 18, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Over the course of about two hours, you'll make a pair of earrings from scratch. It's a hands-on, beginner-friendly small-group class, so you don't need any prior experience to walk in and leave with something you actually made.
All the tools and materials are provided for one pair of earrings. You get to pick your own metal and gemstones, and you'll work with pre-cut wire that you bend, cut, file, and stamp. The stones come from Opuntia Flowers' own stash of gemstones and freshwater pearls, so you're not just picking from a couple of options—you can really customize the look to your taste. The whole process is guided, and since it's a small group, you'll have plenty of help as you go.
