Improv Level 3: Advanced Scene Work with Candice Oates

Candice Oates is leading Improv Level 3: Advanced Scene Work at The Hashtag Comedy Co. in Columbus, with the first session kicking off Monday, October 26. It's a class, not a one-off show, so you're signing up for a series rather than a single night out.

Level 3 is the advanced tier of the improv track, and the focus here is advanced scene work. That means moving past the basic "yes, and" of the early levels and digging into how to build a scene that actually goes somewhere. You'll be working on things like character development, finding the game of a scene, and learning how to sustain a moment without rushing to the punchline. It's the kind of work that takes a few weeks to sink in, which is why it's taught as a course rather than a single workshop.

Candice Oates is the one running the whole thing. She'll be leading the sessions, guiding the group through the exercises and giving feedback on the scenes you build. If you've already gone through the introductory levels, this is the next step in the sequence.

The first session is Monday, October 26, from 7 PM to 9 PM at The Hashtag Comedy Co., and the full course runs for six sessions, so you'll be coming back week after week. The cost is $231.27 for the six sessions.
