Improv Level 2 Graduate Showcase (Saturday Class)

Hashtag Comedy Co hosts its Improv Level 2 Graduate Showcase on Saturday, October 17, with the show running from 5 PM to 6 PM. The stage belongs to the students of the company's Level 2 improv class, and the whole thing is taught and hosted by Hannah Romes.

If you're not familiar with how it works, this is part of Hashtag's improv education program. Students move through four levels of classes, and at the end of each one, they get to take what they've been working on in the classroom and put it in front of an audience. This particular showcase is the Level 2 group's turn, and it's their chance to show off the new skills they've picked up over the course. Since it's a graduate show, the performers are the students themselves, and the scenes are built on the fly, right there in the room.

Hashtag Comedy Company has been bringing comedy and improv training to Columbus for more than a decade, and its Hashtag Comedy Improv Show has been a fixture of the city's scene for over 13 years. The graduate showcases are where a lot of the local improv community gets its start, and they're a good way to see new performers finding their footing. The show takes place at the Hashtag Comedy Club, located at 1253 N. High St in the Short North.

The showcase runs from 5 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, October 17, and doors open at 4:30 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before the first scene starts. It's an hour of improv in the heart of the Short North.
