Informal English conversation practice led by Columbus Metropolitan Library staff, with no registration required and all levels welcome.
English Conversation Tables are back at Columbus Metropolitan Library - Whetstone on Monday, November 2, from 5 PM to 6 PM. It's a drop-in session for anyone looking to get more comfortable speaking English, and it's run by the library staff themselves.
The way it works is pretty straightforward: the staff lead the session and keep the conversation moving, so you don't have to worry about carrying the whole thing on your own. They'll guide you through a variety of topics, and as you talk, you'll pick up new vocabulary and a better handle on grammar along the way. It's not a formal class with a syllabusβit's just people talking, which is usually the fastest way to get a feel for how the language actually sounds in the real world.
One of the best things about it is how open it is. There's no registration required, so you can just show up when you feel like it without having to sign up or commit to a long-term course. All levels are welcome, too, so whether you're just starting out or you've been practicing for a while and just need a place to get some more miles on your speaking, you'll fit right in. It's an informal, low-pressure environment, and since it's hosted by the library, it's a free resource for anyone in the community.
Every week we pick π the 5 best π things to do in Columbus and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
