Pops concert by the Columbus Symphony, led by Music Director Rossen Milanov and with guest vocalist Morgan James, celebrating the music of James Bond and other spy films.
The Columbus Symphony is bringing the music of James Bond to the Davidson Theatre on March 5 and 6, 2027. The program is called Bond and Beyond, and it's a Pops concert that centers on the James Bond films and other famous spy movies. You'll hear the orchestral arrangements from Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever paired with the vocals of guest artist Morgan James. The symphony is led by Music Director Rossen Milanov, who'll be on the podium for both nights.
If you're not familiar with the symphony's home, the Davidson Theatre is part of the Riffe Center Theatre Complex at 77 S. High St. in downtown Columbus. It's where the symphony stages its Pops concerts, so this is right in their own backyard. The program itself is a Pops show, which means it's built around recognizable movie themes rather than a standard classical set. The Bond music is the main draw, and the guest vocalist adds a voice to the orchestral arrangements.
Beyond this one show, the Columbus Symphony is a full-time operation. They bring together musicians, conductors, and a chorus across a season that covers Masterworks, Pops, the Nationwide Picnic with the Pops, and their education and community engagement work. Bond and Beyond fits into that Pops side of the house, alongside the other movie-themed nights they program throughout the year.
