The Daily Etcetera sits at 702 South High Street, in the Brewery District on the edge of German Village in Columbus. It replaces The Daily Growler, which opened at this address in 2017. The owners, John Blakely, Emily O'Donnell and Jeff Haemmerle, also run The Daily Bar in Italian Village, and the new name combines the original craft beer concept of the Growler with the style of that bar.

The focus is on drinks. The venue has up to 40 craft beers on tap, along with wine, liquors, an expanded cocktail list and specialty mixed drinks. The information I found covers the beer, wine and cocktail program but does not describe the food menu, so ask about food before you plan a meal there.
The Daily Etcetera closed for about three months for a refresh that added more seating and beverage options. It reopened under its new name on June 19. On July 4, a car struck the building while it was closed for the holiday. Nobody was injured. The co-owner said the driver had worked a double shift on the holiday and fell asleep at the wheel. The business reopened on July 8. Repairs required permits and were expected to take more than a month. At the time, three front windows were covered with plywood, and the building was described as structurally sound. The second-floor event space was not affected. While the construction was underway, the team leaned into the fish theme of the bar and repeated a saying from O'Donnell: "As a wise fish once said, just keep swimming!"
The second floor is a private party space with its own bar, a fireplace, private balconies, many windows and three large screens. It holds up to 100 people. According to the venue listing, it works for birthday parties, happy hours, football watch parties, baby showers, rehearsals and weddings. Event pricing in that listing runs from $200 to $500 per event. The venue also has a full bar and lounge, an outdoor function area, and Wi-Fi. Outside catering is allowed, and the business is dog-friendly.
