Wine on Wednesdays

Wine on Wednesdays is back at The Mint Museum Uptown Store on Wednesday, October 14. It's a weekly thing, so if you've been around Uptown for a while, you probably already know the drill: you grab a glass of wine and browse the museum store's selection of items while you sip. It's a low-key way to spend a Wednesday evening in the city, and since it happens every week, it's easy to slot into a mid-week routine.

The bar runs from 5 PM to 8:30 PM, and glasses are $5 each. Admission is free, so you can just walk in, get a drink, and take your time looking through the store. If you're coming after work, the timing works well—you can stop by on your way home and hang out for an hour or two without it taking over your whole night. And since it's a weekly fixture, you don't have to worry about missing your only chance; if you can't make it this Wednesday, there's another one the following week.

The store itself stays open until 9 PM through January, which gives you a little extra breathing room after the bar closes at 8:30. You can finish your glass and keep browsing for another half hour if you're not ready to head out. Between the $5 glasses and the free admission, it's one of the easier ways to do something in Uptown on a weeknight without spending much.
