Stand-up comedy show by Whitney Cummings, presenting her Big Baby Tour, a show that draws on her life as a single mom.
Whitney Cummings brings her Big Baby tour to the Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 10, at 7 PM. It's a stand-up show presented by Blumenthal Arts and Outback Presents.
If you're not familiar with her, Cummings first made her mark as a stand-up and has since become one of the most distinctive comedic voices of the last two decades. She co-created and co-wrote the Emmy Award-winning CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls and created, produced, and starred in NBC's Whitney. These days, she hosts the podcast Good for You and appeared in Friends: The Game Show on Max. She's known for bold, observational humor, and Big Baby is the show she's taking across North America right nowβone that draws on her life as a single mom.
Her career has moved across a few different formats. She's released six stand-up specials across Netflix, Max, and Comedy Central, and in 2017 she wrote the memoir I'm Fine... And Other Lies, the same year she made her directorial debut with The Female Brain. When she's not on stage or in a writers' room, she lives in Los Angeles with her son Henry, a pack of rescue dogs, and her horse.
