The Brothers Comatose headline with Charlotte's active bluegrass band, Featherpocket Stringband, supporting at Visulite Theatre.
Featherpocket Stringband are playing Visulite Theatre on Thursday, October 15, opening for The Brothers Comatose. It's a double bill that keeps the evening in the bluegrass family, with Featherpocket taking the stage first.
If you've caught them around town, you know the sound they're working with. They're one of Charlotte's most active bluegrass bands, built around guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and upright bass. The core of it is traditional bluegrass, but they pull in indie songwriting and a wide range of covers, so the set usually reaches beyond the standard bluegrass songbook.
There's also some newer material in the mix. In 2025, the group started a bluegrass project in collaboration with the LA-based act Watertower. Three singles from that collaboration are already out, and seven more are slated for release throughout 2026, so there's a good chance you'll hear some of those new songs live.
