The Abbey Elmore Band

The Abbey Elmore Band plays Monday Night Brewing Garden Co. on Sunday, October 11, starting at 3 PM. They're an alternative and indie pop act from Spartanburg, South Carolina, and this is a stop on their current tour.

The band is out on the road behind their new album, I Know You're Probably Sick of My Love Songs. The title gives you a fair idea of where they're coming from—melodic, lyric-driven indie pop that doesn't shy away from the love song. If you've been following them, you'll recognize the core sound they've built around those kinds of songs, and the new record is the latest addition to that run.

It's a five-piece outfit fronted by Jon Inman and Abbey Elmore, with Nick Wells, Donnie Elmore and Tyler Tullis rounding out the lineup. Having two voices at the front usually means plenty of harmony work, and with five people on stage, there's a full band sound behind it rather than a stripped-back acoustic set. They're coming in from Spartanburg, so this is a South Carolina act playing a Charlotte afternoon.

Since it's a Sunday matinee, it's an early start: the show kicks off at 3 PM at Monday Night Brewing Garden Co., so you'll be in and out well before dinner.
