Spafford

Spafford play the Visulite Theatre on Thursday, November 11, 2026. They're a jam-rock trio from Phoenix, Arizona, and this stop is part of a 2026 run built around their latest studio album, Cat Shop.

If you're not familiar with how they work, it's worth knowing that their live shows are built on elastic arrangements, quick musical exchanges, and extended passages that can push familiar material into entirely different shapes from one night to the next. Each performance balances precise musicianship with the possibility that any groove, transition, or melody could redirect the entire set. The band is known for a private language in which a single note communicates intent and purpose, so what you hear one night might not be what you'd hear the next.

That improvisational approach is the core of their sound. Their influences range from 90s alt-rock radio hits to Steely Dan and The Crystal Method, and the trio—Brian Moss, Nick Tkachyk, and Cory Schechtman—is among the most creative and hard-traveling bands on the contemporary jam scene, with countless sold-out headline dates and high-profile festival sets at Bonnaroo and Firefly. This run is powered by Cat Shop, so expect to hear material from the new record alongside the kind of extended playing they've become known for.

The show is at the Visulite Theatre, 1615 Elizabeth Ave in Charlotte. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $27 in advance and $32 on the day of the show, and it's a 16+ event with ID.
