Silent Book Club

Silent Book Club meets at Lenny Boy Brewing Co. on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. It's a slow-reading gathering where people read in companionable silence, with a social hour at the end to share what everyone's been reading. You bring whatever book you're currently into, find a spot, and read alongside others for a good stretch of the evening. The social hour comes afterward, when you can talk about your book and hear what others have been reading.

Lenny Boy Brewing Co. is at 3000 South Tryon Street in Charlotte. It's a brewery known for its organic kombucha as well as gluten-free wild ales, gluten-reduced beer, sours, and traditional ales and lagers. If you're not into beer, the kombucha is a good alternative to have on the table while you read. The venue also hosts recurring events like Mindless Minutia Trivia on Wednesdays and Saturday Morning Yoga on Saturdays, and it runs weekly drink and food deals by day of the week.

The Charlotte chapter of Silent Book Club is free to attend, so you just need to show up with your book. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, October 6, at Lenny Boy Brewing Co., 3000 South Tryon Street.
