Country music concert by emerging singer-songwriter Shane Profitt at Coyote Joe's in Charlotte.
Shane Profitt plays Coyote Joe's on Thursday, October 8, starting at 7 PM. He's a country singer-songwriter from Columbia, Tennessee, and this is a headlining date in Charlotte.
There's a bit of a story to how he got here. Profitt left a city job to pursue music after being mentored by Chris Janson, who discovered him and became a friend. That connection turned into a professional one: in 2021, he signed a publishing deal with Janson's Old Tom Publishing/Anthem Entertainment. He's since released a debut album executive produced by Janson, with Julian Raymond handling the production.
As for the music, Profitt writes all his own songs. He draws on his family's Eastern Kentucky bluegrass roots and the blue-collar life he grew up around, so the songs come from his own background rather than a label's direction. If you're into country that leans toward songwriting and roots, that's where he sits.
