Stand-up comedy tour by Nurse Blake, a registered nurse and viral sensation who celebrates the hard work of nurses and healthcare providers.
Nurse Blake brings his But Did You Die? Comedy Tour to the Knight Theater on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. If you're in healthcare, you probably already know him. If you aren't, the name is a bit of a giveaway: Blake Lynch is a registered nurse who turned the chaos of the job into a stand-up career. The show is built around that—celebrating the hard work of nurses and healthcare providers through the kind of humor that only really lands when you've spent a double shift on your feet.
Lynch didn't start on a stage. He earned his BSN from the University of Central Florida in 2014, served as president of the Florida Nursing Student Association, and worked in Level 1 trauma centers across the country. He was one of the first to turn the nursing experience into viral content; his Facebook videos earned him nearly four million followers, and The New York Times called him a "genuine phenomenon."
That online following has translated into a touring business. His stand-up tours have sold over 200,000 tickets worldwide, with the 2022 PTO Comedy Tour growing from 14 to 55 cities and the 2023 Shock Advised Comedy Tour reaching 100. He's also built a community around the profession outside the comedy clubs: he founded NurseCon at Sea, a nursing conference on a cruise ship, and Camp NurseCon, a wellness retreat for nurses.

Beyond the comedy, there's a history of advocacy. In 2013, he founded Banned4Life, the movement that helped end the FDA's lifetime ban on gay men donating blood. Between the advocacy, the viral videos, and the touring, he's spent the last decade making a name for himself as a voice for the nursing community.
The show starts at 7 PM at the Knight Theater, 430 South Tryon Street, and tickets start at $41.21.
