Annual free walking tour of ghost stories and legends in the NoDa neighborhood, with tours running every hour.
The NoDa Ghosts & Legends Walking Tours are back in Charlotte on Saturday, October 24, running from 6:30 PM to around 10:15 PM. It's an annual tradition run by NoDa's Back in the Day Committee, and the whole thing kicks off from Stu's Barrel House at 3215 N Davidson Street in NoDa.
If you've never done it, the format is pretty straightforward: tours leave every hour, and each one covers about a mile on foot. The stories aren't just pulled from a book, either. The committee builds its repertoire from ghost stories passed down through the years, interviews with long-time residents, and contemporary tales from neighbors. They add new stories every year, so even if you've been before, there's usually something you haven't heard.
The route shifts over time, too. This year's tour covers the Mecklenberg Mill village on the neighborhood's north side, and the committee already has a plan to return to the south side in two years. Between the hourly departures, you've got a good window to pick the time that works for you, and since each tour is about a mile, it's a manageable walk through the neighborhood.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Charlotte and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
