A neighbourhood tradition where businesses across the NoDa district hand out candy to visitors as they walk from one participating shop or gallery to the next.
The NoDa Downtown Business Candy Crawl returns to NoDa on Sunday, October 25, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. It's a neighborhood tradition that works exactly like you'd imagine: businesses throughout the district hand out candy to visitors as they walk from one participating shop or gallery to the next. Instead of knocking on doors in a residential block, you're moving through the shops and studios of NoDa, filling up your bag along the way.
Because the crawl is spread across various locations throughout the neighborhood rather than centered at a single venue, it's a good idea to have a plan. A map of the participating businesses is available, so you can see which shops are in on it and plot out your route before you head out. Since it's a walk, you can take it at your own pace, stopping at the spots that look interesting and skipping the ones that don't, or just winding your way through the district until your bag is full.

It's a free event, and since it runs from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, it fits right into that pre-dinner window on a Sunday afternoon. If you're planning to bring kids, that's the prime time for itβyou're done and back home well before the school-night scramble begins. If you're going solo or with friends, it's a low-stakes way to spend a couple of hours in NoDa. The crawl is free, and the candy is free, so the only thing you really need to bring is a bag to hold it all.
