NoDa Brewery Crawl

The NoDa Brewery Crawl hits the streets of the NoDa neighborhood on Friday, October 16, as part of Charlotte Craft Beer Week, which runs from October 16 to 25. For ten days, the city celebrates its breweries, beers, and people with special releases, brewery events, and neighborhood crawls. This particular route takes you on foot across five breweries along N Davidson and N Brevard Streets, covering about two miles and taking around 40 minutes in total. It starts near the NoDa Blue Line station on N Brevard Street, so you can easily ride in from other parts of town.

Each stop brings its own history to the walk. Fonta Flora opened its Charlotte location at Optimist Hall in January 2020, bringing a taste of Appalachia to the Queen City. Birdsong Brewing Company was founded in December 2011 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Tara Goulet along with Conor Robinson, and has become a destination for culinary-inspired, unfiltered American-style ales and lagers. Heist opened in 2012 as Charlotte's only craft brewpub. NoDa Brewing Company opened in 2011 as one of the city's first craft breweries, taking its name from the North Davidson Street bohemian and artistic neighborhood. Wooden Robot is a 15-barrel urban farmhouse brewery drawing on traditional Belgian farmhouse brewing and the spirit of American craft.

Because the whole thing is walkable, you can move at your own pace. The route runs along N Davidson and N Brevard Streets, and since it's part of the wider Craft Beer Week, it's one of several ways to spend those ten days. If you're starting from the NoDa Blue Line station, you're already in the heart of the neighborhood, with the breweries clustered close enough to hit them all on foot.
