A monthly Nerd Nite event featuring presentations, video games, tabletop RPG sessions, board games, card games and free pizza at Resident Culture Brewing.
Nerd Nite is back at Resident Culture Brewing Company in Plaza Midwood on Monday, October 12, starting at 7 PM. If you've never been, the format is pretty straightforward: a handful of speakers take the stage one after another, each giving a fun, informative presentation that runs about 18 to 21 minutes. They come from all sorts of disciplines, so you'll hear a few completely different topics in a single night, and the audience drinks along throughout. It's a monthly thing that happens in dozens of cities across the globe, and the Charlotte chapter has a following of its own.
What sets the Charlotte nights apart from the standard presentation format is what's happening around the room. The space fills up with video games, tabletop RPG sessions, board games, and card games, so if you're not in the mood to just sit and listen, you can pull up a chair and play. There's also free pizza while it lasts, which is a nice perk to have on hand between talks.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Charlotte and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
