Ten-minute art talk with a museum docent, with talks at 1:30 and 2:00 PM.
The Mint Museum Uptown is running Mint on the Dot! on Saturday, October 17, a series of ten-minute art talks led by a museum docent. It's a low-commitment way to get a bit more out of the galleries without spending your whole afternoon there.
There are two sessions that day, one at 1:30 PM and another at 2:00 PM. Each one lasts ten minutes, so you can pick the time that fits your day best and still have plenty of time to wander the rest of the museum afterward. If you're already there, it's an easy thing to slot in between looking at different collections.
The talks happen on the gallery floor, so you'll be standing right with the art rather than in a separate theater. To find them, just look for the 'Mint on the Dot!' signs posted around the galleries. A docent leads the conversation, focusing on a specific piece or theme and giving you a few minutes of context that you might not pick up just by reading the wall plaques.
