Matt McCusker - The Healing Frequency Tour

Matt McCusker brings The Healing Frequency Tour to the Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts on Friday, October 9, at 7 PM. He's a Philadelphia comedian, novelist, and actor, known to his audience as 'The Shaman.'

If you recognize the name but aren't sure where it's from, you probably know him from Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast, which he co-hosts with Shane Gillis. It's the number one Patreon podcast in the world, pulling in more than 5.5 million downloads a month. That's where he spends a lot of his time, but he's just as active on screen and in print.

On the comedy front, his debut Netflix special, A Humble Offering, premiered in October 2025 and landed in the Top 10, following his 2023 special The Speed of Light. He's also done some acting: he appeared in the Netflix sitcom Tires and the web series Gilly & Keeves, and in August 2025 he launched the animated short series The Papa John Paradox. And he writes books, too—his debut novel, Overlook: A Story About Drugs, Disappointment, and the American Dream, was received with acclaim.

The Charlotte date is presented by Blumenthal Arts and Outback Presents. Tickets start at $44.34, and the show runs at 7 PM on Friday, October 9, at the Knight Theater, 430 South Tryon Street.
