Monthly short film screening and facilitated discussion on mental health, healing and emotional wellbeing at Urban District Market.
Inspiring Films returns to Urban District Market on Thursday, October 15, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's part of a monthly series that runs every third Thursday of the month, so if you can't make this one, there's another coming a few weeks later.
The night is hosted by the Finding Inspiration Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses short narrative films as conversation starters. The idea is to spark honest dialogue around mental health, healing, and emotional wellbeing. Each screening is paired with facilitated discussions, Q&A sessions, and mental health resources, with guest speakers drawn from people with lived experience and mental health professionals.
The foundation curates films centered on mental health, resilience, identity, grief, burnout, community, and emotional growth. Past episodes have focused on specific themes like Suicidal Ideation, Addiction & Family, Single Motherhood, and Seasonal Affective Disorder, so the films change from month to month.
