A Halloween-themed climbing event at Inner Peaks NoDa featuring blackout climbing, a live DJ, a Speed Traverse Competition, and various challenges.
Inner Peaks NoDa is hosting Inner Freaks on Thursday, October 29, from 5 PM to midnight. It's a Halloween-themed night that also marks the gym's second anniversary, so it's a double celebration. Costumes are encouraged, and the whole evening is built around blackout climbing with a live DJ keeping the energy up.
If you're not just there for the music, there's plenty to actually do. They're running a Speed Traverse Competition and setting up Challenge Boulders for anyone looking to push their grade. There's also an 'Anything But a Chalkbag' contest—which is exactly what it sounds like—and a retro game setup for when you need a break from the wall. Between the climbing, the contests, and the DJ, it's a full night rather than just a quick session.
For some context, Inner Peaks NoDa is a bouldering-only gym that opened in 2024. It's a 20,000-square-foot facility with more than 100 boulder problems, a yoga studio, a co-working space, and a fitness area. It's located in the NoDa neighborhood, serving the city and nearby spots like Plaza Midwood, Belmont, Villa Heights, and Optimist Park. The gym also has a retail shop and a multi-purpose room available for hire.
