Indie on Wheels film screening at Steele Creek Library with a panel discussion.
Indie on Wheels is bringing The Amazing Adventure of Marchello the Cat to Steele Creek Library on Wednesday, October 14. It's a film screening, so you'll be watching the movie on the big screen rather than streaming it at home. The film follows Marchello the Cat, and as the title suggests, the story centers on his adventures.
What makes this a bit more than just a movie night is the panel discussion that follows the screening. Once the credits roll, the conversation opens up, giving you a chance to hear from the people behind the project and ask your own questions. If you've ever wondered how a film like this comes together—from the initial idea to the finished cut—that's where you'll get the answers. It turns a passive viewing experience into something you can actually engage with.
If you're a cat person, the subject matter is right up your alley, but the evening works just as well if you're simply interested in independent film. The screening and the panel are part of the same event, so you can stay for both. It's a good way to spend a Wednesday evening in Charlotte, especially if you're into seeing local work get its moment on screen.
