Hops & Horsepower

Hops & Horsepower lands at the Charlotte Convention Center on Saturday, November 21, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a beer-tasting event hosted by the Charlotte Beer Collective, and it takes place right on the floor of the Charlotte Auto Show, which runs from Thursday, November 19 through Sunday, November 22. The tasting is for guests 21 and older, and your ticket includes admission to the auto show itself, so you can work your way through the beer and the cars at the same time.

The auto show is the larger context here. You'll find vehicles from a wide range of automakers on display, and there's a section called 'Built Different Blvd' dedicated to custom builds. There's also an indoor test track where you can see gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles in action, along with family activities like games, racing simulators, and a kids' test track. The beer tasting happens inside that, so you're sipping through the Collective's lineup while you walk the floor.

Since the tasting is just one evening of a four-day show, you've got a few days to work with if you want to see the rest of the exhibits without a drink in your hand. The show runs from Thursday through Sunday, and Hops & Horsepower takes the Saturday night slot. Tickets are $45, and they cover both the tasting and your entry to the show.
