Rock band High June performs live with support from Cadalay at The Underground in Charlotte.
High June play The Underground on Saturday, October 10, with Cadalay opening. It's a double bill of rock from two bands that fit the same general neighborhood, so you'll get two full sets in one night.
High June is a five-piece rock band from Greenville, North Carolina. The members — Jack Flowers on lead vocals, Will Sain and James Barbee on guitar, Ryon Gerringer on bass and backing vocals, and Hayden Church on drums — first came together as students at East Carolina University. They describe their sound as an old-school approach to new-school rock, pulling from grungy grit and hard rock, with a range that stretches across indie, modern, stoner, and alternative rock. It's a broad description, but it covers the ground they've been working.
In 2024, they independently released the full-length After Hours and the It Never Really Mattered EP, which featured the breakout track "Coming Home Soon." Since then, they've shared bills with acts like The Black Crowes and Dexter and The Moonrocks. Their 2026 song "You're Sorry" went viral, so that's likely to be one of the songs you'll recognize from the set.
