Gina Robinson's Annual Christmas Benefit Concert & Toy Drive

Gina Robinson brings her annual Christmas benefit concert and toy drive to the Stage Door Theater at Blumenthal Arts Center on Saturday, November 21, starting at 5 PM. It's a night that pairs Christmas and gospel music with a toy drive, and Robinson encourages everyone to bring a friend and a toy along. The evening closes with Christmas carols, and over the years, thousands of toys have been donated to organizations like The Salvation Army and Thompson Child & Family Focus.

Robinson is a recording artist who's toured nationally with Glenn Jones, Lenny Williams, CeCe Penniston and Dorothy Norwood, and opened for the Four Tops, Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips and Smokie Norful. Her debut CD was produced by GRAMMY, Stellar and Dove Award winner Cedric Thompson, and she's appeared on television shows including Atlanta Live and Nite Line. Right now, she's touring with the musical When A Woman's Fed Up, starring Jennifer Holiday.

She'll be joined on stage by special guests, and the night is built around the two things that give the event its name: the music and the toy drive. The Stage Door Theater is an intimate space within the Bank of America Corporate Center footprint, located on North College Street between Trade and Fifth Street in downtown Charlotte. Tickets start at $28.26, and the show kicks off at 5 PM.
