Emmy Lou's Wine Bar is hosting a free wine tasting on Wednesday, October 7, from 5 PM to 7 PM. It's a midweek session in Dilworth, set up as a casual way to sample a few different bottles at the neighborhood wine bar, and they've framed it as a good fit for a girls' night or catching up with friends over a glass.
The tasting focuses on three Tuscan wines. There's the Ficomontanino 'Noble Kara' 2024 Sangiovese, the Malenchini 2025 Canaiolo, and the Tenuta Monteti 'Caburnio.' All three come from Tuscany, so you'll be working through a specific region rather than a random mix. If you're not familiar with the grapes, Sangiovese is the backbone of Chianti, and Canaiolo is often used as a blending partner to soften it out.
Beyond the pours, the bar is offering pairing tips to go along with the wines, and they'll have a handful of food specials and some new desserts on the menu.
