$4 pints of Higher Ground, Lazy Bird Brown, and Jalapeno Pale

Birdsong Brewing Co. is running a mid-week special on Wednesday, October 7, with $4 pints of Higher Ground, Lazy Bird Brown, and Jalapeno Pale. It's part of the tap room's rotating drink deals, so these three are the ones on the list this time around.

If you haven't spent much time there, the place has a bit of a story. It was started back in 2010 by husband and wife Chris and Tara Goulet, who were both ready for a change: Chris was tired of the corporate grind and Tara was looking for a break from managing a local bakery. Since then, the brewery has grown into a regular part of Charlotte's craft beer scene, and they tend to keep things open and welcoming, with live music and other events usually coming with no cover charge.

That's also why the tap room stays busy throughout the week. On Monday nights, they host Trivia with Mindless Minutia, and on the first Wednesday of every month, there's a Bluegrass Jam. This $4 pint special is another one of those regulars, and it's a good excuse to swing by on a Wednesday when you're not looking for a full night out.
