Metal and metalcore act Divine Right performs live at Not Just Coffee in Charlotte.
Divine Right are playing Not Just Coffee in Charlotte on Friday, October 16, as part of their Not Just Coffee tour. It's a metalcore show, and they're the only act on the bill.
If you're not familiar with them, Divine Right is a metal and metalcore act that sits at the intersection of straight edge metal, hardcore punk, and straight edge hardcore. That's a fair amount of ground to cover in one set, and it gives you a good sense of where they're coming from: the heavier, faster side of the hardcore scene. The straight edge part isn't just a label, either—it's a specific community and a particular way of doing things that runs through the music.
They're touring under the Not Just Coffee banner, and this Charlotte date is one stop on that run. The set will be metalcore through and through, so if that's your speed, you'll know exactly what to expect when they take the stage.
