Singer-songwriter Corey Kent performs live on his Heartland Rock and Roll Tour at Coyote Joe's in Charlotte.
Corey Kent brings his Heartland Rock and Roll Tour to Coyote Joe's on Friday, February 26, 2027. He's not coming alone, either—Tyler Nance and Jacob Hackworth are on the bill as special guests, so there'll be more than one act to catch before the main set.
The tour is built around his third album, Heartland Rock and Roll, which came out on September 25. Kent describes the record as a blend of country, rock and soul, and the set will lean on that new material. One of the songs you'll hear is "Empty Words," which has been climbing the country radio Top 40. It sits alongside tracks he's put out over the last few years, like "Everyday Life," "Rocky Mountain Low" (featuring Koe Wetzel), "Wannabe," "Cigarette Burns," and "Rather Be Here" (featuring Jason Aldean). Between the new album and those earlier releases, there's plenty of ground to cover.
Kent is a singer-songwriter from Bixby, Oklahoma, and he's as open about his life as he is about his music. He describes himself as a husband, a father, and a big fan of Kings of Leon, Oklahoma State Football and Indian Motorcycles. He's also a firm believer that "Rock & Roll ain't dead," a sentiment that runs through the tour's name. He says he's reimagined this run to make it unlike anything he's done before.
