Country music artist Cody Jinks performs live at the Truliant Amphitheater in Charlotte.
Cody Jinks plays the Truliant Amphitheater on Friday, October 16, starting at 7 PM. He's a country artist from Fort Worth, Texas, who bills himself as 100% indie and runs his own label, Late August Records.
His sound pulls from a few different places: Southern Rock, Texas Country, Outlaw, and Alternative Country. It's a broad stretch, and he doesn't do it alone. He performs with a full band—Chris Claridy, Austin 'Hot Rod' Tripp, Joshua Thompson, David Colvin, and Jake Letner—so the set has a full-band sound rather than a solo acoustic feel. He's also released the album I'm Not The Devil.
If you're not familiar with him, that Texas Country label is a good starting point, but the Outlaw and Southern Rock influences are where the grit comes in. Between the full band and the indie setup, it's a different kind of country show than what you'll find on the radio. He's coming in from Fort Worth, so it's a Texas act making its way to Charlotte.
