Annual breast cancer fundraiser walk organised by Susan G. Komen, featuring a Parade of Hope and opening ceremony before the main walk.
Susan G. Komen brings the Charlotte MORE THAN PINK Walk to the American Legion Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 10. It's their annual breast cancer fundraiser, and the money goes toward lifesaving research, patient care, and advocacy. The day is built as a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and everyone living with metastatic breast cancer, bringing together survivors, families, and supporters.
Beyond the walk, Komen promotes 'Breast Honestyβ’', an initiative encouraging open conversations about breast health. The scale of their work in North Carolina is a good place to start if you're wondering where the money goes: in fiscal year 2026, more than 5 million people turned to Komen's breast health information, and its Patient Care Center provided 700 patient navigation services to 441 individuals across the state. Through its Financial Assistance Program, another 474 North Carolinians received $235,400 in direct support. This year's fundraising goal is $480,000, with Legion Brewing and the Team Miller Foundation as local Gold Sponsors and Bank of America as the national presenting sponsor.
