Community book sale with fiction, non-fiction and children's books for sale at the Hickory Grove Library.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is bringing one of its community book sales to Hickory Grove Library on Saturday, November 7, from 9 AM to 1 PM. These sales are part of a series the library runs throughout the year, so if you've missed the others, this is your chance to catch one.
The tables will be stocked with fiction, non-fiction, and children's books, all new or gently used. It's the kind of sale where you can pick up something for yourself and a few things to give away as gifts at the same time. Some of these sales carry special themes when the library has enough books on a particular subject, though every one of them offers a general assortment of materials across the board.
If you've got a stack of books you're ready to part with, the library takes donations of excess books. You can drop off one box or bag a day at any Charlotte Mecklenburg Library branch, but they ask that you don't leave them outside. It's a good way to clear some shelf space and make sure your old reads end up back in circulation.

The sale runs from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hickory Grove Library, 5935 Hickory Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28201. Since it's a morning window, it's a quick trip to get in and out before the rest of your Saturday takes over.
