A weekly double feature of classic retro horror films at Ayrsley Grand Cinemas, with showtimes at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Ayrsley Grand Cinemas is bringing back its Retro Horror Series this October, and it's the 13th year the tradition has been running. It's a straightforward setup: horror movies on the big screen, seven days a week, from October 2 through November 5. Every night is a double feature, with one film at 7 PM and another at 9 PM, so you can catch one or settle in for both.
The lineup changes every week, and the titles are mostly the ones you already know. The first week, October 2β8, pairs The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at 7 PM with The Hills Have Eyes at 9 PM. The following week, October 9β15, shifts to A Nightmare on Elm Street at 7 PM and Friday the 13th at 9 PM. From October 16β22, it's Scream at 7 PM and Seven at 9 PM. The penultimate week, October 23β29, brings Saw at 7 PM and Paranormal Activity at 9 PM. The series wraps up October 30βNovember 5 with Trick or Treat at 7 PM and Halloween at 9 PM.

Because it runs every single night, you've got plenty of room to work around your schedule. If you're only in the mood for one, you can pick the 7 PM or the 9 PM slot. If you want the full double feature, you're looking at two movies back-to-back. The whole thing runs at Ayrsley Grand Cinemas, 9110 Kings Parade Boulevard in Charlotte, and tickets are $5 per film.
