A monthly celebration featuring authentic Asian cuisine, outdoor dining, local vendors and karaoke at Urban District Market as part of the First Friday series.
Urban District Market and Seoul Food Meat Co. are bringing back the Asian Night Market on Friday, November 6, from 5 PM to 11 PM. It's a monthly celebration that pairs authentic Asian cuisine, outdoor dining, local vendors, and karaoke, and it runs on the first Friday of every month as part of the venue's First Friday series. Each night has its own theme—past ones have been 'Harvest Market' and 'Pre-Holiday Celebration'—and it's open to all ages.
If you haven't spent much time there, Urban District Market is a Charlotte cultural hub that keeps a pretty full calendar. Beyond the night market, they host a weekly Game Night at Seoul Food, Fiesta Friday with Latin music, food, and dancing, the annual Fresh Flea Market by POP.culture, and the Maker's Market by Maker's Market CLT. They also screen short films through the Finding Inspiration Foundation's Inspiring Films series, and they've put on a pumpkin decorating contest and K-FEST, which celebrates Korean culture. The night market is just one of the many things that cycle through the space.
