Screening of the thriller film Verity, directed by Jordan Peele, at Chapter as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2026.
Verity is showing at Chapter this week, with screenings running from Tuesday 13 October through Thursday 15 October. It's directed by Michael Showalter and stars Anne Hathaway, and it's playing as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2026, which is bringing a selection of its programme to Cardiff.
It's billed as a tense thriller in which a ghostwriter finds herself drawn into a domestic mystery. That's about as much as is being given away on the plot, so you'll have to see it to find out how that mystery unfolds. If you're a fan of Hathaway, this is one of her latest roles to catch on the big screen.
Because it's part of the BFI London Film Festival, it's not the only thing on. The festival's closing film, The Debut, screens on 19 October — that one is written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg and stars Julianne Moore. If you're planning to make a bit of a run of it, Verity is one of the earlier titles in the line-up.
