Josie Long and Robin Ince celebrate 20 years of their comedy show Shambles at The Gate in Cardiff.
Josie Long and Robin Ince are coming to The Gate on Saturday 7 November, and they're bringing Shambles with them. The night is a celebration of twenty years of the show, hosted by the two of them together. If you've followed either of them over the years, you'll know they've each built their own distinct corners of the comedy world, but this is the one they've shared since the early days. It's a long-running collaboration that's outlived most of the things it probably set out to make fun of.
The evening is presented by Crosstown Concerts, and the room holds 300, so it's a decent-sized crowd for a comedy night without feeling like a stadium. Long and Ince are the main feature, and they're the ones hosting, so they'll be the voices you hear from start to finish. The whole thing is built around Shambles, the show they've been running for two decades, and this particular date is a marker of that twenty-year milestone.
It's at The Gate on Keppoch Street in Roath, Cardiff CF24 3JW. Doors open at 19:00, and since it's a Saturday night in Roath, you've got plenty of options nearby for a drink before or after. If you're bringing anyone younger, just keep in mind that under-18s have to be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are unreserved seating, so you'll take your place as you arrive. They're Β£26.31 including fees, and there's a low-income unreserved seat for Β£12.00, also including fees. With the room holding 300, it's a good size for a night like thisβbig enough to get a proper crowd going, but small enough that you're still close to the stage. Doors open at 19:00 on Saturday 7 November.
