Graham Gouldman & Heart Full of Songs

Graham Gouldman plays The Gate on Wednesday 14 October, performing with his band Heart Full of Songs. He's best known as a founding member of 10cc, one of the UK's most innovative and influential bands, but his songwriting career goes back well before that. His first hit, 'For Your Love', was recorded by The Yardbirds in 1965, and he spent the years that followed writing catchy tunes and lyrics for The Hollies and Herman's Hermits.

The 1970s and early 1980s brought a decade of 10cc hits, and he's continued to write since then with Kirsty MacColl, Suggs of Madness, Andrew Gold, Gary Burr and Tim Rice. He also co-wrote with McFly on their number one album Wonderland. In the 2025 King's Birthday Honours List, he was awarded an MBE for services to music.

The tour title, Heart Full of Songs, is a humorous acknowledgement that they're out doing it again, inspired by the 10cc album Our Bloody Tourists. The set leans on era-defining anthems like 'Rubber Bullets', 'Donna', 'Dreadlock Holiday', 'The Wall Street Shuffle' and 'I'm Not In Love'.

It starts at 7:00pm at The Gate Arts and Community Centre on Keppoch Street, CF24 3JW, and tickets are £37.85 including the booking fee.
