Chris Williamson: Mostly Wise

Chris Williamson brings his stand-up show Mostly Wise to The Great Hall, Cardiff Students' Union on Tuesday 20 October. It's a solo night, with Williamson as the only name on the bill.

If you're not familiar with him, Williamson is best known for his podcast Modern Wisdom, where he spends most of his time interviewing guests on everything from health and fitness to philosophy and human nature. This is a different side of things: a stand-up comedy show rather than a conversation. The title Mostly Wise does a fair bit of the heavy lifting there, playing on the podcast's name while admitting that the wisdom might not always be complete.

The show runs from 18:00 to 23:00, which is a long window for a single act. It's worth keeping in mind that the venue is The Great Hall at the Cardiff Students' Union, on Senghennydd Road (CF10 3QN), so you're up in the student union territory rather than the city centre. If you're coming from further out, that's the spot to aim for.

So, the basics: Chris Williamson at The Great Hall, Cardiff Students' Union, Tuesday 20 October, 18:00 to 23:00. It's a stand-up set from the man behind Modern Wisdom, and he's the only one on the bill.
