Canadian-Welsh electro-folk duo Cedar Roots perform their original songs and sound-healing heart songs at Llanover Hall Arts Centre.
Cedar Roots play Llanover Hall on Friday 16 October, one stop on their current UK tour. They're a Canadian-Welsh duo from Edmonton, and they describe themselves as 'hopeful romantics'.
Their sound sits in the electro-folk camp, combining silk-and-honey vocals with acoustic guitar and earthy bass. The songs move between intimate moments and rhythmic, layered arrangements, so the set should pull in a few different directions over the course of the night. Beyond the songs themselves, they share sound-healing heart songs and ecstatic dance journeys, and their repertoire reaches from international electronic and funky soulful folk pop to straight folk and folk rock.

They're touring the UK at the moment, and they've got plans to take their original songs over to New Zealand later in the year, so this is one of the dates they're playing on this side of the world. The bar opens at 7pm and the music starts at 7.30pm, with tickets at £14 or £12 depending on when you get them.
