Screening of 'Carry On Screaming' directed by Sal Bardo, part of the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival 2026, presented as a baby-friendly session.
Chapter is screening Carry On Screaming on Friday 16 October at 12:30, as part of the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival 2026: Out of the Woods. It's a baby-friendly session, so if you're a parent with a little one, this is one of those rare slots where you can actually catch a film without having to arrange childcare first.
Carry On Screaming is a US production from 2026, directed by Sal Bardo, and it runs for an hour and thirty-two minutes. The story follows Max, played by Frances Fisher, who is slowly losing her memory. When she reconnects with an old friend, Diana (Mimi Kennedy), a part of herself that's been hidden since she was young is reawakened, and she's left to choose between the woman she's always loved and her husband, played by Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison.
Bardo's work has a decent reach behind it, with nearly 50 million views across YouTube and Vimeo. She picked up the Audience Award for Best First Time Filmmaker at Reel Affirmations: Washington D.C.'s LGBTQ Film Festival, and her short Pink Moon won Best Short Film at the Big Apple Film Festival in 2015. This screening is one of several forming the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival 2026: Out of the Woods, which runs across Cardiff this October.

Because it's a baby-friendly session, entry is free for babies, though the organisers are clear: no baby, no entry. It's a slot specifically for parents, so you'll be in a room with other people in the same boat. The screening starts at 12:30 on Friday 16 October at Chapter.
