Autechre live performance in total darkness, with Sean Booth and Rob Brown from Japan.
Autechre play DEPOT on Thursday 22 October, part of a run of live dates they've put together for 2026. Sean Booth and Rob Brown are the two behind the name, and they've spent the last few years touring their live set across the world. After a string of sold-out shows throughout 2025, they're back this year with an expanded run of dates. They've spent the first half of 2026 in Japan, and from there they've moved into a major European stretch across September and October, which includes their biggest headline show to date in London before they land in Cardiff.
If you've never seen them live, it's worth knowing that these shows are unlike almost anything else you'll find on a bill. The performance is delivered in total darkness, and that's not just a lighting choice โ it's the whole point. The bars are closed if you're in the room, and there's no recording or flash photography allowed. It's a rare chance to hear one of electronic music's most influential and uncompromising acts in their purest form, with nothing to look at but the sound itself.
